Magic UFO Transforming Ball — Throws Like a Disc, Catches Like a Ball, Lights Up in the Dark
You throw a flat disc. It flies through the air. And then — mid-flight — it pops back into a ball.
The Magic UFO Transforming Ball is the toy nobody can explain until they've seen it. Press it flat, throw it like a frisbee, and watch it transform back into a ball mid-air for someone to catch. Every single throw gets a reaction. Every single time.
How It Works
Press down on the centre to flatten it into a disc. Throw it like a frisbee. The built-in spring mechanism triggers automatically mid-flight — snapping it back into a full ball for the catcher to grab. The timing is random enough to keep everyone guessing.
What Makes It Different
Throws Like a Disc, Catches Like a Ball
The mid-air transformation never gets old no matter how many times you do it — every throw is its own moment.
Built-In LED Lights
Glows and flashes on impact — just as fun after dark as during the day. The game doesn't stop when the sun goes down.
Thick Drop-Resistant Rubber
Smooth, odourless, safe for kids and safe for pets to chew. Built to take whatever they throw at it — literally.
Flat Form: 24cm Wide — Ball Form: 16cm Diameter
Easy to throw, easy to carry, fits in a backpack. Satisfying to catch, easy to grip in either form.
Works With Pets Too
Press and release near dogs and cats — the automatic bounce triggers their chasing instinct instantly. Dogs go absolutely wild for it.

Real experiences from real customers who love our products and service.
My kids screamed the first time they saw it transform mid-air. Screamed.
I genuinely wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this. The photos looked fun but I thought it might be one of those toys that's more impressive in theory than reality.
It is not. My 7 and 9 year old were outside with it within 10 minutes of it arriving and they didn't come back inside for two hours. The first throw my daughter made — it flew as a disc and then popped into a ball mid-air — she screamed. My son screamed. I laughed for about five minutes.
The LED lights make it even better in the evening. The rubber is solid and it hasn't showed any wear after three weeks of daily use. The whole family has played with it including my husband who claims he's "not a toys person."
Genuinely one of the best toy purchases I've made this year.

My dog loses his mind for this thing. Every. Single. Time.
I bought this primarily for my golden retriever who has destroyed every ball we've ever given him within a week. This one has lasted a month and is still in perfect condition — the rubber is genuinely thick and tough.
But the real selling point is his reaction. When you press it flat it makes a slight click sound and he goes absolutely ballistic before it's even been thrown. The automatic pop-back to ball shape mid-air has him confused and obsessed every single throw. He cannot figure it out and he cannot stop trying.
My kids play with it too. My son uses it like a frisbee in the garden, my daughter bounces it off the basketball hoop. Genuinely the most versatile toy we've bought in a long time.

We took this to the beach and strangers kept coming over to ask what it was 😂🛸

The Magic UFO Ball from Onera is genuinely one of those products you have to see in action to understand. You throw a flat disc. It flies. And then mid-air it pops back into a ball. Every single person who watched us play with it wanted to try it.
We ended up having a full game going with people we'd never met before. That doesn't usually happen with a toy.
The LED lights came into their own in the evening — so easy to track in the air even as it got dark. Brilliant buy. Already ordered a second one.

Bought this for my nephew. He's 8. He showed every kid in his street within 24 hours.
My nephew turned 8 and I wanted to get him something different — not another video game or another set of Lego. I saw this and thought the concept was wild enough to be worth trying.
He opened it, pressed it flat, threw it once, and watched it pop back into a ball. Then he ran outside and within an hour had shown every kid on his street. His mum called me that evening to say there were six children in the garden all taking turns throwing it.
The LED lights are a bonus — they kept playing until it was dark because you can still track it in the air. Durable too, no damage after what I can only imagine has been intense use.
Best gift I've given in a long time.

My husband is 42 and has been outside with this for three evenings in a row.
I ordered this for my son (11) as a birthday present. My husband picked it up "to see what it was" before wrapping it and has been outside with it for three evenings in a row.
The concept genuinely surprises you every time — you throw a flat disc and it pops mid-air into a ball. Even knowing it's going to happen, the timing is random enough that you can't quite predict exactly when, which means the catch is always a little bit exciting.
My son has since reclaimed it and uses it with his friends after school. The LED version they got lights up beautifully in the dark.
Ordered from Onera — fast delivery, great packaging. Would buy again.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the transformation actually work?
+
The Magic UFO Ball uses a built-in spring mechanism. Press down on the centre of the ball to flatten it into a disc shape — this compresses the spring and sets a time delay. Throw it like a frisbee and the spring releases automatically mid-flight, snapping the disc back into a full ball shape in the air. The delay is variable, so the exact moment of transformation is slightly unpredictable — which is what makes every throw exciting. No batteries, no charging, no setup required.
Do the LED lights need batteries and how long do they last?
+
The LED lights are impact-activated — they trigger automatically when the ball is pressed flat or lands after a throw, with no separate switch or battery compartment to manage. The lights are built into the ball and designed for long-lasting use across regular play sessions. They make the UFO Ball just as fun after dark as during the day, and are particularly impressive on the beach or in the garden in the evening.
Is it safe for young children and pets?
+
Yes — the Magic UFO Ball is made from thick, drop-resistant soft rubber that is smooth, odourless, and free from sharp edges or burrs. It is safe for children to handle and safe for pets to chew. The rubber construction is durable enough to withstand intense use by both kids and dogs without breaking down. As with any toy, adult supervision is recommended for very young children, but the material itself is non-toxic and designed for active, high-energy play.
What colours are available and can I choose?
+
The Magic UFO Ball is available in four colours — blue, red, pink, and light blue. Simply select your preferred colour from the variant options on the product page before adding to cart. All colours feature the same LED lighting system, the same thick rubber construction, and the same transformation mechanism — the choice is purely aesthetic.
What is your return policy?
+
We're so confident in the quality of our products that we offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days for a full store credit — so you can find something you'll love.
